Message Contact Ben at JWT and bounce this topic off of him. He will tell you that the turbos need to have backpressure to avoid the smoking issue.

I contacted him when I was in Pensacola with Pete Conguindi to cover all my bases and he told me that the Sport500s need backpressure to keep them from smoking. I though he was full of it, but, I covered my bases and Pete and I installed the stock midpipes. To our amazement, they COMPLETELY stopped smoking.
